2. Affordability

• Consider cost of materials.

Why Turf Care?

1. Quality People

All applicators are licensed and thoroughly trained to make agronomic decisions. As they get to know you and your lawn, they will customize the program to fit your needs and concerns. Applicators are year-round employees who spend their off season attending seminars.

2. Quality Materials

Turf Care uses either granular or liquid materials depending on the results they'll achieve. We're interested in the long-term health of your lawn. This is to your benefit as well as ours. We use only the more expensive, slow-release products that will give you a healthier, more consistent lawn year after year.

3. Personal Care

Turf Care is a family-owned business, not a nationwide company or franchise. The money you spend on lawn care stays in Omaha and isn't sent to an out-of-state main office or a franchise holder. The lack of a telemarketing and high-pressure sales staff allows us to keep our prices and production goals low. Low production goals allow more personal attention throughout the growing season. Call us immediately if you see a problem in your lawn. There is no charge for service calls, and disease and insect damage are best treated in the early stages of infestation.

4. Safety

• Eliminate personal contact with chemicals while applying.
• No storage of hazardous materials in your garage that can be a potential risk to your children and pets.
• No problems with disposal of containers or leftover products.
• Proper diagnosis means less chemical use.
• It is a misconception that we use more chemicals. The "more is better" attitude of many homeowners can be a bigger problem.

Consider This Before Deciding

1. What will I spend for the whole season?

Some programs are six or even seven applications. The cheaper cost per application, in the end, does not save you anything.

2. Am I going to receive a preventative for white grubs?

Grub control, especially if Merit is used, has become very expensive. Many companies will charge extra, eliminate it, or wait until you have a problem to treat. Turf Care includes a preventative grub application with all packages (except for our budget program).

3. Am I receiving two applications of pre-emergent?

Once you have a problem with crabgrass, it's hard to get rid of it. Prevention is the best way to control annual grass. With Turf Care's two applications of pre-emergent, you'll get the best possible control of crabgrass.
